HF has these on sale this week, a 6" chopsaw for $25.99, and 6" wheels for $2.99? Any one have one of these? I have a saw already, thought this might come in handy?

You're right, it may come in handy.

How much does it weigh?

If heavy enough, it may stop the drift of the boat.:D

OH not a HF tool fan? Must have an all Milwaukee and Dewalt shop? Must be nice.

Probably not a good Idea. Cut off blades have to be of good quality or they will fly apart very easy and I don't think you want to be anywhere around when that happends. John

I think I will just stick to my saw, gives me a break while it is cutting, so I have time to cypher.

Save your money, and just buy a good 6" grinder then you can grind, and run 6" cut off wheels. I had a friend who bought one of those small HF Chopsaws, and as stated above it wouldn't even make a good boat anchor.

Or wait till a quality brand goes on sale. I got my 14" chopsaw Makita on sale and it came with a 4.5" grinder 100.00 two years ago.

Right now they are 109.00 reconditioned at tylertool (without grinder).
