So it seems that auction ended but the item appears to have been relisted

I think the mill looks rather worked, and it's quite old. I'm not familiar enough w the Bridgeport history to know the exact era, but the design of the head and ram/turret is certainly older. I know there are web links which will detail it all, I just don't have them handy (nor do I care that much).

It might be a good machine for a hobbyist, but I'd want to inspect it in person before giving any $ for it, even their $995 starting bid, and this is assuming you're willing to live w step pulleys.

Much nicer machines can be had for just a little more money than the starting bid on that. Honestly, I wouldn't take that if it were offered to me for free. I think the person who buys that will have a nice machine, I just wouldn't want to put all of the work into that thing to get it tight again. Definitely cool, though.

IIRC, the round rams were pre 1955.

Like ebay member 4****s,

who had sence enough to also look at tthe lathe,
add one and two and get.....
buisy bidding.

I hoped to draw attension to a Local or Regional,
That might have missed it.

HELLO TO ALL,
not only has the round ram, but appears to have
the short table. in my opinion, it is pretty beat up.

And it likely has MT-2 taper in the spindle - not the most ideal and somewhat difficult to find tooling holders for.

I'll bet it could be had for maybe $850 and it would be a decent little machine for a weekend metal-mangler.
