My small mig was working fine one minute and the feeder motor jsut stopped the next. Can hear the solenoid clicking but the drive motor seemed to quit. I just changed machines to finish and havnt opened the covers or pulled out the book yet. Just curious if Scott or anyone else had one or experience with one. Never had any prob with this machine in 10 yrs.

Whoops,, I just went and checked, I changed voltage ranges, something went wrong with the knob or switch. Its acting funny and doesnt go into E range,,, well,, guess time for a new part. Wonder if it can be serviced?

Sberry27,those machines never break so nobody has any experience with those. :D
The knobs on all the tapped ones are really tight, and you would think more would break. From now on just leave it on the E setting.:DI am suprised you don't already, from how you feel about 120 volt units.

The 130T is a 240V unit. Has been pretty dependable. Something must have come loose in the switch cause its really rough and doesnt snap in correctly now. Happened all at once and the new one will be here in a week. I was really pleasantly suprised at the price.

Isn't the 130T a 120/240 volt machine?

No, this is a 10 yr old machine, there is a sister machine that is 120V. I believe that is a SP125. This is a single voltage, 240 Its a small thing that holds a 10 or 12.5# spool. I never read the primary wiring instructions on it until recently. It calls for a number 8 feed wire,, ha the machine pulls 20A wide open and 15 most of the time running 030. Then I look at the paperwork for my wirematic 255,, calls for number 10 wire up to a hundred feet. I think someone at Lincoln was slightly high when they dreamed that up. I got them wired the other way. I have about a 70 ft number 10 ext cord for the 130 and it makes nice to reach all around one side of shop without having to change outlets for spot repairs. I dont use it a lot but its nice for exhaust, body work or real little stuff without having to change machine setups on my big one. When I was more in the business it was also nice to have 2 machines, the little one for the fabricator to tack up with and we could keep welding with the bigger one.
