Valentine's Gift

Bought my wife a necklace for V day. I didn't like the box it came in, though, so I made an improved version.

I had to cut a hinge down to fit.

That bandsaw once again earned its keep, making quick, accurate, clean, quiet work of the pieces of this.

Actually, she called me a little while ago from work and has been showing the necklace off. You're close, though. She said that everybody she's shown it to was more interested in the box than the necklace.

Never too many hours if it puts a smile on somebody's face.:rolleyes::p

Sorry, I had to. I probably spent about 3 hours in the garage while working on it, but I spent some time doing other stuff while it was cooling down, and a little time searching for a hinge that would work, and some time trying to decide what shape to give the top, so actual time spent on this box is probably only about an hour.
