Does anyone know anything about Forney O/A torches???
Here in my area -N.W. Iowa- all of the major hardware/lumber yards etc... carry alot of Forney welding equipment; welding rods, eye protection, torches etc...
I was just wondering since I don't see any posts on Forney equipment on this forum if anyone has any knowledge of them? Are they any good? Do they have widespread recognition? Has anyone on this forum used Forney in the past/present? What do you think of Forney etc...

Forney has been around for ages, and years ago made welders as well as adjunct welding supplies. I really like Forney's cut-off discs for my 4.5 inch angle grinder and have had really good luck with other Forney abrasives, etc. I've not had first hand knowledge of Forney torches, but I would assume they would more than measure up with a lot of other brands and be much much better than any of the cheap asian knock-offs. I'm sure others have more experience and knowledge with Forney and would chime in here soon -- like Rocky, Sberry, Hank J, etc.
Good Luck,
Jim Don

Thanks for the replies guys !
I decided yesterday to just go ahead give the new Forney a try and; I was not dissappointed. I have been running ProWeld and Harris for years now and just was'nt sure I was going to be able to warm up to the Victor style torch.
Well, for a light duty torch the Forney seems "second to none".
Thank you...
