I have had this hood for about a year and a half, and it started "flickering" during welding, that is going from dark to light. I had it in the sun charging it most of the morning on Saturday before it started.

Question? Is it now dead? Can parts be replaced on it?

Bad batteries? If they're rechargables that have had cells fail shorted, then no ammount "charging" of would bring them back. If its like my Miller helmet, then it takes alkalines, just replace them.

Just because it flickers doesn't mean it's the hood or the batteries....how long has it been since you changed the clear lenses out?...also did you possibly hide some of the arc ? .....also try adjusting the sensitivity....

The lens was changed recently, and I tested it at a few arc angles. I don't have the reciept, so warranty may be a problem. I don't think this model has an internal battery that is replaceable. It is similar to the 770257, but with Auto Dark. I just sent a note through Warranty service, si we will see what happens.
