not welding

I was welding with my 50's model sa 200 the nose cone came off and while it was runing i put it back on and it sparked a wire and now it will not weld or run a grinder any suggestions on what could be wrong thanks fatdad

Is there any circuit breakers ?...not being familiar with it I can't help much....

Do you mean that it does not put out any voltage at all? Or is it just 'weak'? What do you mean by 'sparked a wire'? Did it burn up a wire? Or did a wire short against something? Do you have any pics?

no it does not have any volts and no it did not burn up no witres just made a spark buy the brushes in the front of the nose cover and do have pics got the welder when my dad passed just trying to keep it going dont know much about it
