As some of you guys read in my other post, im in the process of getting my own shop in order. Im having alittle trouble coming up with shop rates and mobile welding rates, just wondering what everyone else is charging around the US. thanks in advance

I get $25 for advice! Well, that's what I charge, have never gotten it yet! But, sounds like the rates vary around the country, have you checked the surrounding area?

$65/hr average.
$60 average sevice call

$125 first hr mobile.

Remember it seems alot but u need to make a living with your skills and equiptment and uncle sam is going to want his cut.

Most big co. are $80/hr with a 4 hr min and $80 service call and if your not ready, they will stand there and wait until u are............

At the shop $35/hr

As someone mentioned, rates are going to vary by area. What I have done in the past is get out the Yellow Pages and call around to different shops in your area and act as if you are a customer. Check their rates and price yours accordingly.
