Earlier this month I posted a thread about having a group of investors start up a business for me. Just to give you guys an update, first let me say, i appreciate all the feedback i recieved from you, i took alot of it to the board members and got alot of things squared away.
We got everything legalized friday (shares, llc, ein ect). I started moving in to the new building today, i start work monday and im pretty busy until mid july. things look good. just got a website www.a-bsteelworks.com, check it out let me know what you guys think. Another weldor is always the best critic or advise giver... take care, i will keep you guys posted...

Congrats as well!
I have a few suggestions:
- you should change the page titles to A & B Steel Works (the title that shows up in the browser's tab...for example, when viewing this topic on the board, the title that shows up is "Dream Come True (part 2) - Weld Talk Message Boards")
- Pictures, pictures, pictures!! The more the better, some shots of when you get everything in your shop setup, see if you can get someone to take some shots of you welding, a portfolio of your work (I know, this is comming). Cool pictures will capture peoples' attention.
- a minor suggestion: your email address is currently displayed in full text. I recommend either changing it to a link that reads "EMAIL ME" or changing it to a picture with the text of your email address in it (you could create this in MS Paint). By doing this, you'll be much less likely to get spammed.
Great start overall, I would say!

mine comes up and says "home" -- i think it depends on how one's
browser is set up -- but be that as it may, for a commercial site, you'd
definitely want it to have your name on it.
Also, on your company profile page, you say
"... managing projects in the Pennsylvania."
It may not reflect on your welding & fabricating -- but it can
be taken as "he is careless"... not an image to portray
in advertising.

Yep, I agree ...need more photos...look at Arcdawg's new site... www.bcw2.com ...it has character, and reader appeal...hover over the picture to make larger. and so on. ..a new photo on each page. Color is also important. Soft music could also be an advantage. Remember that you and God are a majority...pray. That's about the best advice I can give.

Ditch the aol email address.
Your web hosting site should have a mailbox built into the space you've paid for.
Anything going to my website address is forwarded to my ISP mail address. If I change ISP, I just change the address to forward mail to. I also use a default name on teh address. So, 'anything'@IronPequod.com gets forwarded.
My mail shows up as sales@....., dan@..... etc. depending on what the sender puts in there. I use Outlook to grab it from the ISP.

Nice looking site, wish you the best with your new venture.
I did notice one thing in the wording on the first page that may need corrected, I'm not sure.
(Today we are a large, full service mechanical contractor successfully managing projects in the Pennsylvania.)
Should it read "Pennsylvania area"

I also would like to say the sites looks good.
But,
1) reading Home- Mozilla Firefox on top.
2) I would lose the counter. Do not let people know that you have been in buss. for 2 years and only had 80 plus hits.
3) Kill the RESOURCES page. You have nothing their, so it will not be lost.
