I decided I wanted to draw images of different sizes such as my clip art, which could be motorcycles, cars, any kind of designs which could be used as either wall hangings or banners. Also parts could be designed, printed on the paper and later someone could cut these out and use them as templates. My table can draw 49 in x 49 in without moving the paper. I made a holder for the Sharpie pen and mounted it to my tool holder and did the following drawing. The paper is 30 in wide. I thought you might enjoy watching it.

Cool stuff. Is that one of those DIY cnc setups. I've seen alot of those popping up all over the place in peoples garages and such. Nice machines too. I do alot of cnc mill programming for a living, so I get all excited when I see things like that.

I started reading about CNC machines in about August of 2006 and by Nov 06,
I had built this machine and had it running. I had no prior experience so it took a little while and I'm still learning. I still get excited when it works.

Very nicely done!
For those interested parties, flip over to www.cnczone.com - a very active site (forum) for CNC machines of all types. There are free plans and a TON of discussions on anything CNC. You will see me over there - not that you really care....
Monte - I don't recall seeing you over there, but you need to be! *****EDIT ***** - You're already over there - just saw your thread. Never mind.

If it wasn't for CNC Zone, I'd probably still be in the design stage. Lots of good people there that are very willing to help.
