I have several old 'dairy brass' valves and fittings I aquired about 28 years ago on a dairy plant job. These have been piled in the corner of my storage building and now I'm scrapping stuff. Does this qualify as brass scrap or is it a less valuable alloy? It's not stainless. Dairy brass fell out of favor years ago with the advance of stainless and the need for stronger acid cleaners in the food business that aggressively attack the brass.
