Hi, I'm new to the forum and, to welding in general. Though I'm a tie-jockey (work in an office), I enjoy working with my hands (dare I say real work!)... I recently purchased a Hobart Mig welder after using another brand Mig for a number years and being extremely frustrated with it. What a difference I noticed using the Hobart! I no longer dread having to weld something.
Maybe I've just gotten better, but out of the box I was making better looking welds which I suppose are also stronger. Most welding I do is for auto or tractor repair. Most recently, putting in a new floor in my wife's old Mustang.
By the way, member name is 'galaxieguy' not because I'm 'far out man', but because I have an old Ford Galaxie...
