The last one I bought was a Dewalt.
I also have some that were discarded by a very large company after one 6 inch cut. Safety I hear. They work fine for my small cuts. I will try to check the brand.

I have not had to replace the factory blade yet in my Makita but when I do, I am getting a Freud, Diablo.
I have read nothing but good about them and they are very reasonable in price
alot of people sell them on Ebay

by chop saw, do you mean metal cutting saw, or abrasive cut off saw?

Yep, the abrasive ones like in my angle grinder.I think I need 14 '' x 1'' arbor. The thickness I guess varies like the small ones? 1/8'' 3/32'' that sort of thing?

Hey stevinator,
We used to use Sait abrasive blades where I work. They got rid of the abrasive "chop" saws a few years before I started there and went to 14" Porter Cable Dry Cut Saws with C7 tungsten tip metal blades. They were going to throw out the box(24) of Sait abrasive blades as they were taking up space, and I ended up taking them off their hands as a favor. Hmmmm....know what they fetched???? $$$$$!!!!! They were superb cutting discs, quite expensive, but outlasted anything on the market then. I know the quality of Sait as we use nothing but the .045 4 1/2" cutoff discs for our slot cutting and they have outlasted anything else we tried. Anyway, you may want to try the Sait....Denny

I have my first Hilti blade in now and seems to be lasting pretty good. The one I have has a thin kerf and starts in a lot quicker than the others I have used in the past. They were a dollar more than the nortons at HD.
