WOW! New helmet!

i have been using the helmet that came free with my ol Lincoln, finally went out and after looking at all the stores chose a KT brand, variable shade, Auto Darkening helmet! I can't beleive the difference! It might make a welder out of me yet!
OK, I have dreams too!

Good luck with the new helmet. $49.99 auto dark cheapo for me. Cant kill it. (yet) I have a jackson helmet with a gold reflective lens when welding is serious buisness.................

I tryed it with the stick welder, worked great there, still hafta try it with the mig.

I have an adflo with sideview. Only thing it is $ 1,299.00. Not that is serious money for a helmet. When its your lungs, you pay good money.

Mine is just a hobby, but I do wear the 3M masks when welding and grinding or i blow black snot for two days.

Been there done that.
Due to not wearing filtered hoods. I have to use an inhaler for re accuring bronchitis.
Look at 3m 's review on welding fume hazzards.

I just got a Speedglas Flexview and find that I no longer need the crappy face mask respirator that I was using since it has superior ventilation. However if I want to get that Adflo added later, is it possible to get it as an add-on to my current Adflo?

And BTW....since I started using the auto darkening helmet it makes everything MUCH easier to do.
