I need help, cant figure this one out. I have an ironman 250 and fired it up tried to weld and the bead looked like crap so i figured i had forgotten to turn the gas(90/10) on but nope that wasnt it and it was working great last night so i know it isnt the settings, wire, etc. when i press the trigger, i am getting the initial gas blast from the nozzle but then it just stops and i havent let go of the trigger. tried changing the CFM more and less but didnt help. is there an internal regulator that might be stopping the flow? please help, i have to get this thing working...thanks

The only thing internal to the machine is the gas valve/solenoid. This will generally either not work at all or gas would never shut off. IT could be possible that the gas line is being obstructed by debris in the valve body.

There could also be a problem with the gas hose in the gun. Check to make sure you are getting constant gas flow to and out of the gun connector at the wire drive assembly.

I had the exact same problem and it ended up being the regulator on my C25 tank.

im beginning to think that it is the regulator, i had to turn it up to about 35 just to get a half decent bead and it was still crapping out every now and then...
