Hello
I am new to site and this is my first post. I am really hoping you can help me.
I found an add today for a 1987 ford 3/4 ton 4x4 supercab with a 351 motor. It is set up for welding and has a canox 200 welder on it. They are asking 4000 for both. I have a couple questions. Is this a good deal assuming they are in good shape? Is a Canox 200 a good welder? I read a comment that said Canox welders are rebadged millers. If so what would this one be? My dad is a welder so i grew up helping him and now my husband is apprenticing to be a welder. I was thinking that if this is a good deal I would try to get it for my husband as his first unit. I am just not sure if it is good deal or a good welder as I have not heard of the Canox brand before today. My dad is a miller man. I thank you for any help you can give me.
Thanks radrks
:p

I must admit my alterior motive for wanting to buy him a welder. If I buy it for him he would have to let me play with it.:D My dad started teaching me when I was 16 but it has been a few years and my fingers are itching to get back on a grip.

Boy, your husband is one lucky dude!!! If you ever want to change, let us know, I'm sure you would get a lot of takers................

I am not sure what the Canox relationship was with Miller but there was one. I believe Canox got bought out by another company and perhaps the Miller deal is viable anymore. Maybe some Canadian welding expert could help.
