So I'm driving down my street and see one of my neighbors is throwing stuff out preparing to vacate his house, a "For Rent" sign in his lawn... In the pile, I noticed a handle and plastic case that appeared to be a jump-start pack.

Good, I could use another one of those... And it's trash day... So in the cover of 5AM darkness, I scooped it up and chucked it in the bed of my pickup.

Darn, that sucker's heavy... In the light of my tail lights, I noticed it said "24Volt" on it... Great. Must be one of those dual voltage guys... I hit a button on it and I heard a click inside as the "Power On" light came on... Charge indicator said weak charge.

This afternoon, after getting off of work, I took a closer look in the daylight and discovered I had a new welder.

Looks like the wirefeed still runs when I pull the trigger and turn the "Heat Control" knob...

Someone's replaced the ground clamp and the Gun says "Tweco" on it, but all the numbering is rubbed off... Since this is a gasless, I know I don't need an outer shield gas nozzle on the gun, but it appears there's threading for it... What'd go there? Those threads are banged up and there was no nozzle, just the contact tip.

Think it's worth picking up a new gun for?

Trash collection came through and took the pile. :( I need to rig up a furnace transformer and some diodes to charge it up.

Is this what you got? It's a 130amp fluxcore welder, selling for $600.00

No mask, no cover over the wirefeed, no holders for the ground clamp or gun, and no charger... But for the most part, that's what I got. :)

I can't find anymore info on it...

It looks like Solar is related somehow to Century which is related to Lincoln...

There's nothing on it on the Lincoln website.
Google can't find a website for Century or Solar, unless I'm using the wrong search terms...

Solar welding products
Solar welders

Century welders
Century manufacturing
Century electric

?

and so on, and so on, and so on..........

It's discontinued as far as I knew, but you may have luck on ebay or craigslist....???

I don't wanna sell it. I was just looking for a manual, some consumables and how to attach an aftermarket gun to it.

Thought you said it had a tweco gun on it. You don't need the cup. If the gun dosen't work, take it to LWS and they may be able to identify it.

just ask the guy you took it from.

Tweco gun's kinda beat.

Suppose I could rock with it as is for now...

Now I need to steal a good 24 volt power supply from something. This draws a little more than the half amp a furnace transformer can put out.

That could be really handy to off-roaders and at the race track....

and here is the snake/gun, and some other parts! (just came across this while ordering some TIG stuff).
