Thirty years ago, my new bride told me to buy what I wanted and NOT what I thought I could afford... Good advice!!!. Purchase something known to be reputable such as DC capable Hobart, Miller or even perhaps the red tombstone and never look back.

If you insist on Ebay for your shopping needs, with "new" purchases - may I suggest you start with IOC? Use their price to benchmark your future purchases. Often times, my LWS will come close to matching them when challenged AND, they will often accept some sort of lay-a-way type setup. Spend your hard earned money once and be done with it.

Decent welds are as relative to operator skill as it is to the equipment. If your equipment is top-notch, and you have insufficient welds, your problem is half solved ;-)
