Have any of you guys had any luck welding cast iron with flux core or mig?I know it is not the preferred method but someone has to have tried it somewhere along the line.

For just orny pieces stuck on a gate or fence panel, yea, I've done that.Just dont bump 'em or they will snap off. Do not do this for a repair.
