Since the plea for INVESTMENT money is going so well for somebody else...
I'm looking for investors to help me buy a new truck, and a house, and more tools.
Here's the difference...
I'm posting my plan right up front!
1. This will help me get my projects off the ground to help me with personal satisfaction.
2. The funding will only go to serious pleasure inducing activities.
3. I will repay as much as I am able to repay by sending loose change monthly, or at some other interval TBD.
Only serious offers will be entertained. By serious, I mean, you send me a blank check via USPS, DHL, or UPS. (Sorry, I've had bad luck with FedEx.)
Any questions, please ask. You can even post them here!

I'll go you one better Dave,
I want someone to invest $30,000 so I can build a decent sized shop. (40x60 with full slab and heating/ac).
I will repay the $30,000 PLUS $60,000 more in 15 years after my house value (currently $350-400k, has tripled from appreciation. (IIRC money doubles in 7 years invested @10% so I'm offering a smokin' deal :D to a sharp investor.)
Disclaimer:
This is a limited time offer and cannot be combined with any other coupons. Management, which is me, reserves the right to change any and all of the above in the interests of product improvement, safety, or simply to amuse myself

:p :p :p
I think I'd have better luck with some of those Nigerian and Russian investments I keep getting emails about . . .

I should have thrown a little warning in there. The ROI will probably be pretty low, but as with any investment, there is a chance it could be astronomical. Or maybe astro-comical.
Oh, and I'll retract the comment about the check having to be blank. Any amount will be accepted.
And since Calweld mentioned it, I am a very well off banker in some place sorta like Nigeria, but farther north, farther west, and mostly English speaking, though that is changing rapidly. However, I am not allowed to access the money in my bank account directly, which could be linked to the lack of money in the account. So, I am asking for your help. However, to save you the trouble entailed in other like requests, I will skip right to the point. Just send me your money.

WhategO,
You have caught me at just the right time. My Lovely Bride and I have been searching the last few days for just this, an astro-comical investment opportunity.
The planets appear to be properly aligned, eh?
Anyway, we have dispatched to you, via my personal courier (I also have bad mojo with fedex...and don't be alarmed, all of my personal couriers dress that way and behave somewhat....oddly), three and one half bags of gold dubloons, a partridge in a pear tree, and a newly polished tuba to use (or abuse) as you see fit.
I will of course, require progress reports yearly, no reciepts needed.
Regards,
JTMcC.

Thanks JTMcC! I'm giddy with anticipation!
Oh, I don't want to be selfish. Can you please dispatch some of this good fortune to our friend who also is looking for assistance, albeit further west? That too could be comical!

Per your request, I called an emergency meeting of the SPBT (Super Powerfull Brain Trust), which at this point consists of Me, Me Wife/Chic, Me 3 Year Old Daughter, Whichever Cat Happens to be on the Back Porch at The Time and Me "Bob The Builder" Welder Action Figure.
I regret having to inform you that after contemplating your request for approximately 16 seconds the SPBT has decided (unaminously) to decline any and all investment opportunities in Bakersfield, Taft, Oilfield or adjacent areas for the time being. SPBT reserves the right to reopen consideration of said IO (Investment Opportunities) at any time in the future.
At that same meeting, we decided that in light of you being "giddy with anticipation" which we interpret as a sign of true appreciation, we have thrown in an additional one half bag of gold dubloons toward your great and worthy goals.
Regards,
JTMcC.

Hey JT!
How about my proposal? :D You only have to wait till my house triples in value to get a return. :p
Please, I implore you to consider my request. I have two 12v batteries in series with about 10 feet of 14 ga. leads to perform serious and x-ray ready pipeline work. Only thing is my Datsun runs on one of the batteries and the other one came from the Walmart dud pile outside of their automotive department so it's a little iffy.
I also have a finely crafted Bernzomatic jeweller torch for intricate demanding hi-tech jobs like, um, aerospace and nuclear work.
Please Mr. McCracken, convene a Brain Trust meeting post-haste and let me know!
Disclaimer.
Jt, you're a man I respect greatly as well here and if your advice is for me to jump into a deep river with a big rock tied to a short rope, well, I'd give it great consideration.

I suggest you not jump in the river with the rock/rope, as I assume that is your emergency brake on the Datsun. We don't need anymore of those pesky "Datsun without an emergency brake" incidents now do we???
We have considered your case and decided that anyone who owns a jewelers torch, and steals from the alley behind Wally World is our kind of guy so you too have recieved an approving nod.
You should expect your care package to arrive any minute now. Please have pre prepared, a peanut butter and jelly sammich (on whole wheat) for the courier, plus a large Diet A&W Root Beer. Couriering is rough business and those little guys work up quite an appetite.
Keep in mind that this decision was made with only a partial SPBT forum as Me 3 Year old Daughter is already asleep in my recliner and the Cat wandered off several minutes ago. But I'm confident that the annointment will stand.
Have a Day,
JTMcC.
on edit: Goodnight all as I am now thouroghly exhausted.

Hey, what's the exchange rate on gold dubloons? If we work together - that's right, form a partnership - maybe we can work the system to get more out of our dubloons! Oh, and I gave up snail mail last week, so I'll have to email or fax the SASE to you.

Oh, a partnership, I like that....:p
One for you and two for me,
Two for you and three for me, :D
Disclaimer, math was never my strongest subject, hmm, come to think of it I faked my way through ethics too
Goodnight guys, I haven't laughed so hard for a long time. Now I gotta get that jelly samwich and pop ready for the courier. :p

Math was my strongest attribute in high school, and I believe you have a mistake, it sould be 1 for you 3 for me, 2 for me 1 for you.....
Also I'm always looking for the best investment as the market is always changing, my account in the bahamas is going to close as I haven't accessed it lately, just wondering If anyone would like to make a full withdrawl to help me out. I will send a full reimbursement as soon as I recieve the funds.
