Why don't you look the stuff up and see sheesh! God forbid someone uses google, sounddomain, or ebay..................
10" Kicker L7's, put them in a specified ft^cu seaked box, on a 1200-1400w rms amp. Use atleast 4ga wiring and a 125amp main fuse. Thatd be the loudest for the cheapest by far.

didnt mean to cause no hype or anything, but looking up this kind of stuf is like looking for a needle in a haystack with all the other crap online these days. would you go with 2 10s, or 3 10s? my bro has 1 12 in his and he claims it will hit harder than 2 10s. would that be better?

I'm not a stereo guy, but one thing I know is it isn't just quantity, it's mainly quality.

if you have the room, and dont mind comprimising it. 12's are the way. i have 2-12L7 squares and a 1500w rms kicker amp driving it. squares need BIG boxes. build boxes to kickers max. cf spec. build it sealed to keep it small and tight. also no4 wire isnt enuff. i use no2 weld cable from battery to amp. also a very easy electrical upgrade most people miss is the factory battery cableing. upgrade to no2 or larger on ground, alt to bat, and bat to load. this will help big time......if you have 00 positive, and a#6 ground, you still wont have all the juice you need. good luck todd

Your brother doesn't know anything. Unless you are supplying one sub with a much greater than linear amount of amperage, surface area > amperage.
Part of the reason why I'm telling you to go 10" L7's. They've got 12.333in^2 of surface area. in a smaller package. Yet they'll take 700w rms all day long. They also work peachy in very small sealed enclosures. Down to .75ft^3. That's very, very, very small for the surface area, and power handling of the subs.
And they're relatively alot cheaper than subs of compairable rms power handling, and surface area.

In other words, VS the above mentioned setup @ 1200w rms. Your brother would basically have to have a 5000w rms 12" sub.

First of all, you have to understand this could become a very expensive project. Stereo systems are just like everything else, you get what you pay for. I'm pretty sure you can fit two 10" subs under the rear seat on an extended cab truck, but I am not sure about two 12's. I guess it really depends on which cab you plan on getting. Also, like Toys suggested, Kicker Solobarics will probably satisfy your requirements quite nicely.
There are several companies that sell prefab'd boxes for Chevy trucks, so you may be able to find a box for a fairly reasonable price. However, make sure it is made of 3/4" MDF. 5/8" will work if its properly braced internally, but most of the prefab'd boxes I have seen were built as quickly as possible with little regard for bracing.
You are looking at around $5-600 for a pair of Solobaric 10's, and expect to pay at least that for an amp with enough power to adequately push those speakers. I have had good luck with MTX amps, specifically their Class D mono amps (which double rated power into a 2ohm load). You'll need some serious wire to handle the current, so plan on using 4ga at the bare minimum for power/ground wires. 2ga is much better, but also a lot more expensive. You can easily drop $1k and have nothing but two speakers, a box, and an amp.
And don't forget about your midrange speakers. If you want the entire system to sound good (and not just have loud bass), you will almost certainly need to add another amp and possibly replace the factory speakers. With the exception of some of the premium aftermarket systems (like the Bose), very few stock speakers sound good at higher volumes. I would recommend a good set of 6.5" components (with tweeters) and a second amp, maybe a four channel. I have an extended cab Mazda B3000, and I am running two MTX 12's and four Infinity Reference 6.5" coax speakers in the factory locations. I built the box to fire the two 12's straight down towards the floor, with about 2" of space. This way I could still load stuff in the rear of the cab without damaging the speakers (and it adds a stealth look). I am running everything off an MTX Thunder 5400x, and I have had the speakers and amp for at least 6-7 years. My reg cab Mazda has two 10's behind the seat, with a set of 6.5" components. I am using a 2-channel Alpine and MTX mono sub amp.
What cab does the truck have?

Jason, why are you paying double what things routinely sell for on your list?

Here's a thought. Buy yourself an Ipod and a really really REALLY good set of over the ear headphones. You'll get great sound and if you buy the right kind you can filter out any background noise. Hearing what's going on around you isn't an issue since with the system you're talking about you wouldn't be able to hear anything else anyway, and as an added bonus everyone around you won't have to put up with whatever it is that you think is the ultimate in musical perfection.
Just a thought. :)
