I just got it this morning so it is still in the trailer, from the serial number 1092269, code 9054 I think it is an 88' or an 89' . I was told the motor is "stuck" from it having no rain cap, but the manifold is not cracked and still has the grey paint on it:D . Aside from the sheet metal being banged up and the "stuck" motor someone loved this machine, under the hood it looks new. I got robbed, $300 out the door, loaded in my trailer with 150' of leads. I will have it in the garage tomorrow and put some MMO down the plug holes and let her sit for a few days, should solve the "stuck" problem.

If the MMO doesn't free her up try a mixture of ATF and diesel fuel.......

Take the plugs out and spray or drop some Kroil down the cyclinders. Let it sit for a day before you try to move it so the Kroil has a good chance to work on it. Good Luck

Use the Kroil that stuff is awesome. Used it on airplanes in the military. It would ruin the cheap screwdrivers if it got on the shaft and penetrated up into the handle. The shaft would just spin in the handle after that. I have found it to be way better than any of the other popular penetrants. ie PB, WD40 etc. Speaking of getting ripped of I just paid about 18 bucks for a can of the stuff at a JD dealer, looks like you can get it for about 13 bucks on the Kano website.

Do you have gas eng or deisel? SA 200 is gas but I don't remember a SA250 with gas. Not that late of model anyway.

Under the hood it has the same F-163 as my old SA-200 just updated with a distributor.

How much are those leads worth in scrap copper alone?

UPDATE.
I got the motor free with penetrating oil and time. I will have a new head gasket on monday and she should be burning wire shortly there after. I honed the cylinders and hand laped the valves and all looks well(what can go wrong with a flathead) so I should be ready to run. I will post more when we are burning gas.

Thanks for the update. You got on the project pretty fast. Seems like when I get a project like that it sits for months till I even get to touch it.

BernieP, and Tozzi,
Yes, Kroil is expensive, but try Ebay too. Prices there are a little less. Also, whatever cities you're in, try one of the older hardware stores where the salesmen actually know something. I get my Kroil from an old hardware store here in Wis. (The donothings at the big box stores haven't even HEARD of Kroil, so don't waste your time.) Glad the Kroil loosened up that motor for you. I've had exceptional results with Kroil. ANd no, I'm not a Kroil rep or dealer or own stock in the company, if anybody else is wondering.
Good Luck!

She runs(started on bad gas with a cloud of smoke, which cleared) and runs great, and the ideler works. I flashed the exicter and it welds almost as good as my SA-200. I am a happy camper:D .
