Evaluate my welds

1/4" Mild Steel

HH 187 with the trial roll of .030" Flux Core
Voltage Tap 6 and wire speed 40.

Haven't really done much welding with a MIG but boy it seems slick

Run a few beads on some scrap, chip off the slag and clean them up with a wire brush. The pics you posted don't show anything.

Those are tacks. Incomplete welds.

need to practice more on lap joint welding (undercut). But looks good for a beggining weld. Try backing up the bead a little at the end before letting off the trigger (helps with the concave pool).
