Is there a pressure restriction on this?? If not I think I need one.

I'm sure there must be, maybe if you go to their site and download the manual it will say what the maximium pressure is. It does require that the tank drain down to zero to click open, then it snaps shut at about 20 psi, spitting out any water in the bottom of the tank in the process.

Dang it- I was just there last nite, too. :(
It seems to me there was some talk about this device not too long ago, that said you don't have to relieve the tank pressure for it to drain the water. I thought it hooked up to the unloader valve, or some such thing.

I just read the manual for the device. It says max pressure is 145. But it also appears the limiting factor is the plastic tubing from the unloader to the auto drain. Spec on the tubing says max working pressure is 145 psi.
My compressor is set at around 170 psi max.

Yup, I recall reading that. I set mine up 'solo', not getting any help from the instructions. I hooked my little 'trigger line' to the to the line that goes from the top of the tank to the pressure regulator valve.:)

Ya gotta love those "Hot Foot" weed burners. I've smoked my shoes a number of times while burning weeds in the gravel driveway :)

I can't use one on mine. I hardly ever let mine compressor get down to 0psi..I will just have to get another style drain..Or keep standing on my head and drain it by hand:(

I do plan on picking one up before the sale is over. I will post up how I hook it up. Perhaps that may help someone else. I never shut mine down, or drain the pressure from the tank.

My valve operates everytime the pump cycles on or off. You will feel a little puff of air at the end of the drain pipe. I did have to buy copper tubing and fittings since my compressor has metal tubing and not plastic. One thing to keep in mind is you need about 40 lbs pressure to close the valve. I took mine apart trying to figure out why it was leaking. Sorry I don't remember the exact pressure.

Oh..neat i will have to pick me one up if it cycles with your compressor. I thought someone said it opened when your tank was empty. That makes since though if it cycles when your unloader cycles.Thx for the coupon..I got a email today with coupons but this auto drain wasn't in mine:( Hmm strange
