How to make sure it isn't stolen?

Has anyone had to do this before? Before I buy a miller Dynasty 200 welder locally I would like to check and see if it is stolen or not. I have the serial number and stock number. My question is, who do I need to contact in order to find out?

I would call the local police department, They should be able to tell you if it is "hot". Tell them you have found this welder for sale and want to make sure is not stolen. If it is stolen they will or should have the serial and model numbers on file( if it was reported stolen). Just be careful, because you could find yourself on thin ice. Just my 2 cents.

Email me the serial number and stock number and I can look it up in our system. If a unit is stolen and is reported, we log that information in our system.
