When taking my welding course this past fall, I noticed that tech-school kids project that they work on in the shop during the day, was a sweet buggy. I wasn't sure if anyone in this forum has made anything similar. The site for the buggy that the students were working on was www.badlandbuggy.com

If anyone has any similar expereice, would love to hear about it, and would love to see any pics as well.

Thanks

Take a look at Fisher Buggies for some other resources... (http://www.fisherbuggies.com/)

They have tack kits that are ready to weld, manx-type bodies, and lots of engines, controls, and other parts. I had heard about them before I moved to Florida, and I had to visit as soon as I moved here. Lost interest in VW stuff a few years back, but these folks are unforgettable as a resource. Just remember, like BMW, Bring More Wallet. :D

Thanks for the responses everyone...

If anyone decides to tackle any of these kits or anything similar, I would love to see pics. You don't need to include models like at www.badlandbuggy.com , but if you did, I don't think anyone would mind.

Thank again...

thanks for the pics from the project. i was hoping that someone in this forum had some experience with those kits. the buggy looks really cool. the thing that struck me kind of odd was when you think about the price of a brand new 4 wheeler ATV, those kits, minus engine of course, are a really good deal. I would really like to talk myself into getting one of those kits, but i don't really have the $$ or the room yet --> more $$

oh well....

thanks again for the pics. it looks like the buggy turned out well and was probably a lot of fun to build.
