Boat paint from a marine dealer should be formulated to bond well with the fiberglass.

Krylon fusion may work as well........or you could use an automotive type paint, just make sure you use flex add. in the auto type. The krylon paint is great on plastic it chemicaly bonds to it.......the first time I used it the first coat turned out good,so I decided to wet sand it down and apply another coat.....it looked like crap....so the next time I just preped the serface......(cleaned and dried) and laid down a couple of coats....turned out great.
Good luck,
Mike

Get your hands on some BullDog adhesion promoter - awesome stuff. It is available in either a spray can or in pints.
Here is a link to the rattle can:

Spray a medium to medium-wet coat down on a prepped surface, then add it to your paint and spray the color as usual. The best stuff I have used for fiberglass and plastics, period.
Wear a properly sealing respirator, not just a dust mask!

Some two part epoxy paint should do the trick. If in doubt - talk to your local auto paint supply store. From novice to pro they will give you options for best paint and application to what is best for the $$ you want to spend.

Just be careful - almost all automotive stores claim not to sell to the general public because of the nature of the product. I am not sure if there are laws regarding this but if they smell 'novice' they might not sell to you. Just a thought.

The auto paint place I deal with will not sell to Joe Public. BUT, they let me open a "cash account", meaning they do not extend me credit I pay cash on the spot. However since I have an account with them their butts are covered and I am a painting professional ;)

I never have any problem with O'reilly's. They don't require an account. I did have a cash account at one paint shop, though for special stuff. I'm sure the laws differ depending on the part of the country, too. I bet there's some places they'd shoot somebody doing a backyard paint job.

I take that back. Those places probably don't like guns!
