Thanks fellas I will read up on it.
I have a 4 link caculator program. But I don't get good end figures compered to what the crew over there say is correct, It is going on a cj5 so I don't have alot of room to play with convergance and offset.

I wish someone would publish a good set of well engineered and off road tested plans for CJ's. I have interest in the same, but designing my own sounds like re-inventing the wheel. There are too many parameters to consider.

There are just too many variables to have a "formula" for a 4 link. *Everything* figures into what you have. Tire diameter, wheel base, CoG location, obstructions (cross members, gas tank, exhaust), drive shaft configuration (pinion needs to stay pointed at case, or track constant horizontal angle) and so on. There is also the matter of what you want. Long travel, articulation, how concerned are you with "flex steer", how fast do you want to go (high roll axis for rock crawling, low for high speed whoops), how sensitive are you to anti-squat, and on and on and on...
Here (http://www.members.cox.net/darthtruggy/rearlink/rearlinks.html) is my write-up on my rock crawling 4 link for a big pig of a 4 seat truggy.

Dog, I followed your Truggy, Looked good. It is things like you just mentioned that are helpfull.
What I am working on is a 68 cj5. It is going to be a woods buggy only. No reason or intent to ever put it on the road. I have Waggie Dana 44's to go under it and 5.89 gears to put in it. Full hydro steering to go on it. I have built several rigs, but all the coiled ones were kits. I have fabed control arms for others who gave me a set of measurements but I have never figured out the geometry. I pulled a caculator off of Pirate and plugged my intended numbers in but could never get the kind of anti squat that is allegedly needed. Just want to at least come close on the first setup. Thanks for the info. I will look the truggie over again and get the tape measure out again.
