View Full Version : Making a snow plow blade from a Hot Water Heater

Folks,

I was told that this could be done by using the metal tank inside the water heater to make the blade for a snow plow. Anyone every done this? Sounds like a good idea.

I don't know if I could with just duct tape. I'd need a tube of silicone too :D

Jerry, 1fasbu over at the miller welding forum made a really nice little plow, and it is not using too much expensive materials either. I think the thread is titled "snow is on the way" or something to that matter. Might be worth a search.

Get an electric unit add about 9 more batteries in series and then you can also have handy hot water availible to melt the ice. Might need to upgrade the alternator somwhat.
