ok, so i am in need of a bandsaw ASAP! my big issue is a good square cut, my next reason is the noise.

so the general census is that the homier is the winner of he small imports and that would feel good on my back pocket... i guess what i am wondering, is what would be the next step up? the bigger jet? does it cut better? would it be worth the extra cash?

If value is the reason go with a 4x6. There are full reports somewhere in this forum as it comes up pretty often. Do a search for the posts. Some people like the saws with the cast arms, i like the ones with the stamped arms. I cut thousands of pieces a week with my ebay special. I have had 3 of them. Only one died. One was sold for what i paid for it 3 years ago, and it cut 10,000 parts. Join the yahoo 4x6 group, lots of info there also.

My pcs have to be cut exact and cut square for what i make. The 4x6 does a fine job. I have lots of cutting fixtures and jigs for mine to cut fast and safe...Bob
Here is a sample of what i make, ceiling mounted O Scale train bridges to run around a room.
