Well, the strip down of my 1978 f250ranger has been started. We didn't do much, other then smash out the windsheild, clean that up, remove the doors, headliner, and stupid 'mexican blanket' cover. The bed was removed a while ago. If anyone in PA needs a pretty ok bed for a f250, come and get it, it's all yours. Other wise, it's going to scrap.
Tommarow, the cab get's hacked off. Then we start the chassis. It's going to be a truggy/fast rock buggy kinda deal. I have 2 of my friends coming up to help (both very good fabricators). My one friend is a very smart kid who has the knowledge to figure out the problems and getting **** done, the other is just good at figuring things out, and I'm right in between, with less of an artsy edge. So it should be pretty unique, and strong, as it's packing a 351m. I'm thinking I may move the engine back a bit, and add a 3rd seat in the back since it's basically be an all new chassis, but who knows, right now it's just tear down. Pics tommarow :D

I believe a 210 is coming my way soon :D I have a little FCAW welder to do tacking with, so that's not a big deal

This is kinda where the truck stands if you minus the doors, windsheild, cherry bombs (running 'straight pipes' haha), and the stupid mexicanblanket seat cover...

And this is where it all started from.

BTW! I have a few parts for up for grabs too. The doors are in great condition. Actually, you know what, you guys are awesome, so anything I don't need is free. A lot of parts from the 70's f series are interchangable, so if you need anything let me know. So far I have 2 doors, 2 cherry bombs, rear windsheild, the rear veiw mirror, 1 maybe 2 gas tanks, a bench seat (will need reupholstered, or at least a cover to go over top), and a 8' bed. If you want to pick it up let me know, or if it's shippable also let me know (sorry, you gotta pick up the bill for shipping ;) ). That big burly bumper is up for grabs too. Should fit right into place, and you could probably weld on new mounts for differant trucks..

Ok, if any of you saw 3 guys (one with a fro) laughing maniacly, as they smoke the tires in a vehicle on swinehart road around 9 oclock pm that was missing its mufflers, a grill, hood, winsheild, roof, rear wall, doors, and a bed, but still has the front fenders and A pillars...
Well congradulations, you have 'met' me.

'Cause pictures can be decieving. The body isn't bad(bed wasn't the best), but the interior was hurting, and one of the shock mounts is flaking away. It just wasn't going to be a good daily driver, and I wanted to do a project like this anyways. If it wasn't this truck it would of been a chevy 3/4 ton, with a 350, but I'm a ford man

Yeaa. I wanted to restore it, but it's not QUITE old enough to put the time and effort into it. This thing is going to be built back up with a tube chassis, so it's not like we're out cutting it up just to cut it up :)
On a lighter note, the exterior is pretty good. The hood is in great shape, and the doors are too. The only thing that got cut was the cab, so if you guys need anything, it's free. Come N' Git It! I'm in South Eastern PA, right outside of Philly. A couple bucks would be nice, but if you need it, it's all yours.

Annnnd here we are. It's rather fun driving it around the way it is, haha. But, being in a residential neighborhood, with people who drive porches, lincolns, and escalades, it's not exactly smiled upon  . They love hearing the 'straight pipes' from the 351 ripping around, after lots of loud grinding, cutting etc., then the motorcycles ripping around and all that good stuff. If it weren't for me being so nice, I'd probably be considered 'that punkass kid down the street' haha.
