Finally got around to making some storage tubes for my Tig filler wire. Made them from Schedule 40 PVC for $3.79 each. I would show you how they mount on the tig cart, except that I havn't made the cart for the Maxstar 150 STL yet. :D

I like it!
Looks familiar. I did the same thing, but instead of using the threads, I just used a junction piece. I ran it through the lathe and took a few thousandths off the inside of the side that goes on and off. It's still pretty snug, but doesn't stick.

I made a similar thing a couple weeks ago but like INTP I didn't use threaded fittings. Makes a really nice rod tube for minimum cost - I found the 1-1/2" PVC in my attic that I'd forgotten about, so all I had to buy were some caps and couplings.

The sticking was why I didn't use slip connectors. Then when I got them finished and put them togeather I couldn't get them apart without great effort. Some silly-cone spray took care of that problem. :o

I gotta get some of those plastic cases for the mass amounts of tig bits I seems to be collecting. Nice Bike ;) I still get the urge to ride, but my wife has a cow every time I bring it up after the accident that darn near ending my welding:(
Really nice work George, I need to make myself some just like that. I do have some for my 6010 and other SMAW electrodes. Really works nice.
CPB :)
... tig bits ... I had to read that twice.

Tig bits. Like bits and pieces. George prolly throws away the pieces leaving just the tig bits. Now maybe a more proper description would be tig tid bits. Going back to the pieces thing, I finally figured out how to make a dirty old #6 cup like new with a concrete floor.
